Wawa Enters the Beer Game

Get it while you can!

November 30, 2018

Philadelphia coffee drinker’s prayers have been answered!

Wawa, the convenience store goliath, has teamed up with award winning 2SP Brewing Co. The two companies have teamed up in effort to make a Wawa coffee tasting beer, recently revealed as “Winter Reserve Stout” which combines Wawa’s Winter Blend coffee, which is limited edition, with 2SP’s oatmeal stout. It is said to have a flavor profile of sweet clove, dark chocolate, and graham crackers. (My mouth is already watering.)

Fam, we made ending the day as good as it started...with a freshly brewed coffee stout. Working with our neighbors @Wawa, we brewed an oatmeal stout steeped with their Reserve Winter Blend Coffee. This is an exclusive blend that was handpicked by Wawa's World Traveling Coffee Guru Michael McLaughlin, who sought to make a coffee with flavors of sweet clove, dark chocolate, and graham crackers perfect for the winter months. Our head brewer, Bob Barrar, who, like Wawa, is a Delaware County native chose to steep the beans in an oatmeal stout, a style that has a balanced sweetness to showcase the full range of flavors of the coffee. Exclusive for the Philly 5-County region, cans of Winter Reserve Coffee Stout will be available early December.

The beer will become available at 4 P.M. on December 6th at the 721 Naamans Creek Road Wawa Store, in Chadds Ford. Which is the only Wawa that sells beer.

During the event, the first 50 cases will be available for purchase on a first come, first serve basis with a two four-pack limit per person.

Later, the beer will be available for purchase during the week of December 10th through Origlio Beverage. Only 1,000 cases will be available.
