Drink & Draw at the Art Museum this Wednesday Evening!

All artistic levels are welcome at this "Pay What You Wish" event!

September 4, 2018

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of the best in the country.  Its collections are renowned the world over, and it is a true privilege to live in a city where so much great art is easily accessible.

And easily accessible it is, as the museum has long had the practice of Wednesday evening "Pay What You Wish" admission.  No tricks here...you can literally pay whatever you can afford, but you need to pay something.  This Wednesday evening is no different, but it is a special one...namely, "Drink and Draw (with Kees Holterman)", which offers museum-goers the opportunity to bring some fine art to their Happy Hour.

Drawing supplies are being provided, and drinks will be on sale at the bar.  It's happening in the Great Stair Hall, which means the golden goddess Diana will be watching over your sketching.  It's all under the tutelage of Kees Holterman, a Philly-based artist and designer.

So, to recap, this is happening on Wednesday, September 5th.  The event starts at 6 p.m., and there's no need to hit up the ATM for an extra stop, because the admission is Pay What You Wish.  (Bear in mind, with admission comes free roam of the entire museum until 8:45 p.m.)

There's NO REASON not to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine with your artistic pursuits, and is there a more culturally-significant setting in the city than the art museum?  This is an Opportunity with a capital "O" to see, be seen, draw, drink, and otherwise delight in the company of fellow art-and-alcohol lovers!
