Local Couple Gets Engaged at Christmas Village

This romantic proposal is just so CHRISTMAS, you know?

December 20, 2018

December is a magical month, what with the lights, the festive cheer, and the occasions to gather with loved ones.  So is it any surprise that a lot of gentlemen (and ladies!) choose this time of year to proposed to their loved one?

Well, Philly Mag managed to catch and feature a super sweet proposal that is Christmastime incarnate, and we're melting at the romance.  Allie Clark and PJ Levinsky met on Tinder, in a time when Tinder was new and different and a little scary.  They both swiped right, texted for a bit, and had their very first date at at Shady Brook farms on a haunted hayride.

They've been together for years, and recently, PJ decided it was time to pull the trigger on a lifetime together.

This picture-perfect proposal featured exactly that...pictures.  PJ lines the pillars approaching City Hall with photos from the couple's courtship, ending with their original Tinder photos when they were matched.  After an evening skating at Rothman Skating Rink and viewing the Deck the Halls Light Show at City Hall, PJ led Allie to the tree in front of Macy's.  A playlist of their songs was the musical accompaniment, and waiting by the tree were all of the pair's family members, sporting an illuminated "Allie + PJ" sign.  He knelt...see photo below...and proposed at the Christmas Village, to the delight of the spectators in the area.

We wish a lifetime of happiness for Allie and PJ, and good luck with wedding planning!  Maybe they'll look at Christmas of 2019 to commemorate the special day that one holiday season in 2018 when they were engaged!
