The Royal Wedding? There's a Filter for That!

Thanks to CBS Philly, you can take a properly royal selfie!

May 16, 2018

Sure, there's strife in the world.  There is fear, and dissent, and tension.  But there are good things, too.  Beautiful things.  Things to which we can all look forward.

Things, that is, like a Royal Wedding.

I don't know about you, but I am STOKED.  I'm barely over the birth of His Royal Highness Prince Louis, and now there's another royal event to celebrate!

I'm speaking, of course, about Prince Harry's upcoming nuptials to Meghan Markle.  The big day is nearly upon us, and it promises to be an oppoulent celebration for the books.  (But, let's take a moment to mention that Prince Harry and Megan requested donations to charity in lieu of gifts.  They are both fiercely committed to a number of endeavors, and use their celebrity to further those causes.)

To celebrate, CBS Philly has done what any self-respecting entity would do:  They created a Facebook filter.

It's the Royal Wedding frame, and YOU can find it on your smartphone!  Here's what you do:

  • Log into your Facebook Page on your smartphone.
  • Swipe right to open your Facebook camera.  Don't forget to make the lens face you!
  • Click on the magic wand icon to the left of the camera button.
  • Swipe right to find CBS 3's royal crown filter (Look for the Union Jack border)
  • Smile and capture the royal moment!

We were curious, of course, so we naturally followed the instructions above.  And who did we use as our text subject?  Why, only the most gorgeous person we could find:

We think she's just as beautiful as Meghan Markle is sure to be.  (And, not to jump the gun or anything, but HOW GORGEOUS are Harry and Meghan's babies going to be?  WE. CAN'T. EVEN.)

Post those queenly and kingly selfies as you watch the nuptials, and tag us so we can admire you in all your glory as you reign!  We'll be watching, mimosas in hand, as the royal family grows by a member this weekend.
