Getting outside and staying healthy during this crazy time is crucial! Hiking can be an amazing activity to do with friends and family that you can continue to practice social distancing during! Luckily the Delaware Valley is located in an area that is exposed to amazing trails!

John Heinz National Wildlife Trail- This refuge is withinside city limits and was established to preserve, restore, and develop the natural area known as Tinicum Marsh. It boasts a full 2.5 mile hike one-way (5 miles round trip) and the Philadelphia Skyline can be seen from afar on the hike.



Ridley Creek State Park- Ranked 36 of 115 state parks in PA by, Ridley Creek State Park has 12 moderate trails ranging from 1.9 miles to 7.6 and go all the way up to 439 feet above sea level.

Wharton State Forest- With 14 great hiking trails, you have an incredible amount of options while hiking through Wharton State Forest. Perfect for kids, the Wharton even has trails as short as 1.2 miles, but if you’re looking for a little bit more of a challenge, the longest trail is 17.8 miles long.


“Modified green,” to use a term. Effective today, the City is now in its Reopening With Care phase.
