NASA to Launch Rocket Visible from Philly

Their ‘Antares’ rocket will be blasting off on November 2nd

PHILADELPHIA (WTDY-FM) NASA will be launching a rocket named Antares from their space center on Wallops Island, Virginia.

Blast off is at 9:59am on November 2nd and will become visible from Philadelphia around 10:00 and 10:01 am.

The mission of this rocket is to deliver 8,200 pounds of supplies to the International Space Station.

As long as there are clear skies, you’ll be able to see this rocket for up to six minutes as it’s travelling through the Earth’s atmospheric layers.
